Folk on the Farm invite you to gather at Four Acre Farm once again to celebrate as wheel turns to the Celtic New year. A cross quarter fire festival of big importance to our ancestors.
As the veil thins, the light fades and the damp forest floors light up with orange and yellow fallen leaves…we are called to wrap up and settle by the hearth fire to bare witness to the final harvest- the time when the northern hemisphere nestles back down to dark soils, misty mornings and bone deep rest. What will the darkness reveal this winter ?
Raising our voices in song and gratitude we honour this shift. We will pause in simple ritual reflection and stories will be shared along with the lore of nature, which mirrors and guides us through all the seasons. Expect drumming, story, folklore, song, land chat and community spirit( or spirits..)! And of course tea and cake.
We can huddle inside if the weather is particularly damp so whatever the afternoon brings, come and enjoy an afternoon of celebrating the simplicity of being together on land, honouring those who came before us…
Wrap up warm in your finest cloak, adorn your heads with festive crowns or come in what’s comfortable - all is welcome. Bring your drum if you have one.
Parking at football grounds thank you! Contact us for concession tickets. Please let us know if you have any allergies for the refreshments. Due to limited indoor space we are limiting ticket sales, if the weather looks good we will release more closer to the time!
