A morning to tend to yourself.

Do you need time to stop, to gather inward, to let go, or to reflect? Do you promise yourself space for these things, yet it never quite seems to happen?

During the darker half of the year, nature teaches us to slow down. Stillness, reflection, and silence are more readily cultivated in this season. Yet the patriarchal, colonial structures of the Western world urge us to keep pushing—to finish the to-do list, get results, stay busy. There is always something to do.

Over time, this constant momentum can leave us feeling stressed, exhausted, apathetic, or low. When this becomes a pattern, it may contribute to anxiety, deeper mental health challenges, or unhealthy coping habits. So how do we find time to slow down?

Perhaps these thoughts resonate with you. Or perhaps you simply long for a moment each month that is just for you—a designated, protected time that offers space, stillness, and the opportunity to reset and reflect.

We will gather on a Friday morning each month to sit in nature: to craft something small with our hands, to journal, to touch the earth, and to share a quiet moment together.

We will begin with a silent meditation. You may already have a sitting practice, or you may choose simply to observe—listening to birds and insects, noticing the plants around you and how they change through the months. This is your time to draw inward, to pause, breathe more deeply, and begin to connect.

We will then gather around the fire for a herbal tea ceremony, followed by time to journal or record what is present for you. Over time, this becomes a gentle diary of reflection, allowing you to see how you have felt and shifted across the seasons.

Next, you will be guided to craft something—a small gift to yourself made by your own hands, weaving the essence of that moment into your creation. We will then tend to a part of the garden together (or alone, if needed), touching the earth and noticing how we can interact with it. No gardening experience is required.

Finally, we will harvest and prepare a simple meal together to share around the fire.

This is a quiet, spacious morning in nature. No demands. No pressure. Just using your body and hands in gentle, intentional ways to settle into the present moment and embody whatever is alive for you at that time.
