A Year of Magic Culinary Herbs

  • Four Acre Farm Long Lane Ringwood, England, BH24 3BX United Kingdom (map)

Starting in February, each month we will dive into a different herb found in the kitchen garden and uncover its lesser known magical properties. Kate will lead you through the herb of the month to discover its origin, cultivation , how best to propagate and harvest it along with ideas for culinary uses. Sammie will guide you through the medicinal and traditional uses along with folklore and plant spirit medicine to give you a truly rounded picture of the plant and the magic within.

Each 2.5 hour session is held at the farm in the market garden, orchard and in our polytunnel workshop space. We will include time to meditate with and experience the herb by gathering and infusing the herbs for tea. Every month we will create something different during an artistic connection with the herb. No artistic talent necessary, it is just a opportunity to have a deeper experience with a plant and perhaps notice more detail. We will also harvest and learn different preparations for use at home. We will provide hot drinks and materials for the craft.

By booking for the year course as opposed to individual dates you make a saving of £5 per session.
