The magic of culinary herbs - Rosemary and Dill

2.5 hour session held at St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery

10.30am - 1.00pm or 2pm til 4.30 

Join us as we dive into two commonly found kitchen garden herbs and uncover their lesser known magical properties! A different kind of workshop that delivers far more than just fascinating facts. We hope to inspire a new relationship with these plants to bring them to life and for you to continue exploring the world of herbs with a deeper connection to our plant kin…

Kate will lead you through growing Rosemary and Dill to discover their origins and how to propagate and harvest them along with ideas for culinary uses. Sammie will guide you through the medicinal and traditional uses along with folklore and plant spirit medicine to give you a truly rounded picture of the plant and the magic within. The 2.5 hour workshop will include :

Cultivation, harvesting, origin and varieties

Culinary suggestions

History, folklore, medicine and craft

A herb craft activity

Rosemary and dill tea and treats

Tea Meditation

Plant sensory connection and artistic expression of the plant (no skill needed!)

You will take home an informative worksheet, propagated plant or seedlings to grow on at home, your and craft creations!
