As we work to heal the Earth, the Earth heals us

A Farm that builds soil, habitat and Community

Four Acre Farm is a Community Interest Company in Ringwood, Hampshire. We are a hub for our local community to joyfully connect with land and each other. We provide skill sharing and meaningful community connections rooted in nature.

We are caretakers of 4 acres of farmland and have already planted over 4 thousand trees to form a new native mixed species hedgerow, 130 fruit trees for a new orchard and sown wildflower seeds for the meadow and orchard to create permanent ground cover alongside our thriving biodiverse no dig market garden.

Inclusivity is fundamentally important to us so we can gather as many different folk together on land. Our mission is to give people hope, skills and confidence in humanity whilst healing the land beneath our feet. We provide a variety of workshops for all ages, from veg growing, herbcraft, habitat creation to cooking and art. As we repair this soil we create new & diverse habitat for thousands of species and provide chemical free food for the community. We want to show people how health giving food can be grown locally with care and how each of them can be a vital part of a new story.

Our methods grow alongside natural systems not against them. We are a No Dig farm and do not use any pesticides, herbicides , fungicides, artificial fertilisers or slug pellets!

Healthy soil equals healthy vegetables, ecosystems and people.

‘Industrialised societies are currently experiencing unprecedented rates of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Processed food, pollution, sedentary jobs, and a sense of isolation – all side-effects of globalization – are contributing to a worldwide decline in well-being’
