About Four Acre Farm

Four Acre Farm is a community interest company rooted in nature, food and connection.

Inspired by permaculture and no-dig growing, we’re evolving into a food forest in response to the challenges of climate change, focusing on perennial vegetables, fruit and nuts to create a resilient, thriving ecosystem for people and wildlife.

Our farm is home to a diverse mix of spaces, from our productive market garden, mixed fruit orchard and wildflower meadow to wildlife ponds and our much-loved runner ducks. We also have a kitchen, a covered event space and a welcoming fire pit, creating places to cook, gather, celebrate and connect with the land.

Alongside our perennial planting, we grow a variety of annual vegetables, including unusual and interesting varieties, offering opportunities to learn about sustainable food production and discover new flavours. Everything we do is guided by a desire to care for the land, support wildlife and bring people closer to the natural world.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), we’re here to benefit our community. Through seasonal events, shared meals, workshops and volunteering opportunities, we create space for people to gather, learn new skills, get their hands in the soil and enjoy the food we grow. Whether you’re here to lend a hand, share a meal or simply spend time in nature, you’re welcome at Four Acre Farm.

Hi, I’m Kate

After many years working as a private chef in London, I moved back down South to learn from Charles Dowding at his renowned no-dig market garden. There, I developed a deep understanding of the no-dig method and how to grow healthy, thriving plants without chemicals or disturbing the soil.

I’m passionate about exploring the possibilities of cooking with seasonal, locally grown produce and sharing the joy of growing and preparing good food. Passing on my knowledge and helping others connect with the food they eat and the natural world around them is at the heart of what I do. I’m also currently training in nature therapy, deepening my interest in the relationship between nature and wellbeing.

Hello, I’m Mollie

I lead the wildlife and rewilding projects at the farm, sharing my knowledge of nature and helping people connect with the natural world. With a BSc in Animal Behaviour and an MSc in Biodiversity Conservation, I’ve worked across the conservation sector, from being a ranger to coordinating community engagement projects. I also work at a local nature reserve, where I develop my skills in habitat management and wildlife identification.

I’m passionate about the healing power of nature and its ability to support us through life’s challenges. After finding comfort in nature following the loss of loved ones, I now run our nature-focused bereavement group, alongside fun moth mornings that encourage people to discover and celebrate local wildlife.

Hey, I’m Nick

After nearly twenty years in corporate marketing, working my way up to senior leadership, I began to question whether we were addressing the root causes of problems or simply their symptoms. This led me to retrain as a coach and reshape my work around what lies beneath the surface. With a background in sustainability and training with B Corp, I’m passionate about helping businesses put their purpose into practice.

At the farm, I run workshops that bring people together through meaningful conversations, shared experiences and nature-based activities. I believe in creating space for fresh perspectives, deeper connections and positive change.
